**Please note: we will not consider or publish any submissions written, developed, or assisted by A.I. tools. We may not consider any future submissions by anyone who submits A.I. written work.**

We are looking for previously unpublished short stories (500-2000 words) and poems (3-25 lines) that are spooky or fantastical or both. Don’t be afraid to blend genres and experiment.

You can submit one short story and up to 3 poems.

Submissions should be submitted in Modern Manuscript Format (example), Times New Roman, and attached as a .docx to an email with a brief query and a short author bio. Please include any relevant trigger warnings in the email as well.

Dusty Attic publishes 4-8 stories and 2-3 poems quarterly, and submissions will close after four weeks. Any submissions received after the deadline will be considered for the following quarter. You will receive a notification by the 20th of the month prior to publication.

We are offering a flat rate of $10 USD per story or poem.

Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but we kindly request that you inform us of acceptance elsewhere.

Dusty Attic retains the rights to accepted submissions for one year post publication.
